History

1930s

S. Sitaram establishes Sitaram & Venkatraman, a pioneering accounting firm with offices in Rangoon (now Yangon), Burma (now Myanmar), and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

1960s

Govind Sitaram, the next generation of the family, transitions from the UK to Canada, where he builds a successful accounting career within a multinational corporation before launching his own practice.

1980s

Shanker Iyer, continuing the family's legacy, moves from the UK to Singapore. He initially establishes a branch of his UK firm before independently founding the Iyer Practice in the early 1990s.

2020s

Sanjay Iyer, representing the fourth generation of the family, reimagines the family business. Following the sale of the traditional accounting practice, he establishes Silicon Advisers, a forward-thinking firm specializing in tax and family office advisory services for global startups and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
